Two paths, choose what suits you
The translation file is enough for many trademark owners. If you’d rather we handle the whole way, the translation is included.

Trademark registration

months to the certificate
- A specialist study with the study guarantee
- Translation included at no extra fee
- We file and follow up until the certificate
Three questions, a straight answer.
- Have you registered a trademark before?
- Are you sure your mark’s name is not registered to someone else and that your mark meets SAIP’s conditions?
- Do you have time to follow up your application yourself for 3 to 5 months?
The translation is enough for you
You know the filing route, and our file prepares the certified translation and all your application info within 30 minutes.
Registering with us suits you better
- As it’s your first trademark, we handle all of SAIP’s steps for you, from studying the mark to the certificate.
- Because checking these two things is what protects your fees. A specialist studies your mark before filing, with the study guarantee.
- Because the application needs 3 to 5 months of follow-up, and we follow it for you until you receive the certificate.
The translation is included, and you pay nothing upfront.
Chose the translation, then changed your mind? If you order registration within 30 days, we deduct SAR 400 from your first payment.

Everything you might ask before translating your mark
Is a certified translation required to register a trademark in Saudi Arabia?
Yes, if your mark contains any non-Arabic letter or word. The Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) requires a certified translation to accept the application; without it, the application is returned at the formal examination. A mark that is fully Arabic, in letters and words, does not need one.
My mark has only one English letter. Do I need a translation?
Yes. A certified translation is required even if your mark has a single Latin letter, such as a K inside the logo.
The Arabic translation is already written inside the logo. Do I still need a certified translation?
Yes. Even if the Arabic name appears next to the English one in your mark, SAIP asks for a certified translation stamped by a certified translation office.
Can I translate my mark myself or with a machine translator?
No. SAIP accepts neither personal translations nor machine translations. The translation must come from a certified translation office and carry its official stamp.
My logo has symbols or Latin letters but no clear words. Does it need a translation?
Yes, if the symbols are Latin letters, even when they are part of the drawing. We review your logo and tell you what needs translating before we start.
My mark is in Arabic letters but it is an English word, like «كار» (car) or «هاوس» (house). Does it need a translation?
Yes. A foreign word written in Arabic letters also needs a certified translation. If you are not sure about the words in your mark, send it to us and we will tell you.
My mark is fully Arabic. What do I need?
If its words are Arabic, and not foreign words written in Arabic letters, it does not need a certified translation. You still need a correct description of your mark, the mark type, the right class and an image in the required size. If you want us to handle the whole registration, that is part of our trademark registration service.
How much does a trademark translation cost with you?
SAR 400, one package that includes everything: the certified translation, all the application information, the class, the AI study, the three SAIP guides and the filing video. There are no extra fees.
Why SAR 400 when others translate for less?
Because you get more than a translation. You get everything your application needs, ready to paste, the right class (a wrong class can cost you a new application), and a study of your mark before you pay the non-refundable SAR 1,000 filing fee. And if you find a provider licensed by SAIP offering the same features for less, the service is free.
What does the translation file include?
The certified translation stamped by a certified translation office, the pronunciation of every Latin text, the Arabic and Latin names, the mark description, the mark type, and your mark’s image resized to SAIP’s size. All of it is ordered so you can paste it straight into SAIP’s form.
Is the translation from a certified translation office?
Yes. The translation is issued by a certified translation office and carries its official stamp, as SAIP requires. We will also send you the office’s licence and commercial registration on request.
Are you licensed?
Yes. Alama is a service of Qiyad Intellectual Property Office, licensed by the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property under number ALN202501185, unified national number 7041450235.
Do you translate documents other than trademarks?
This service covers trademark translation and preparing the trademark application only.
How many marks have you translated so far?
We have translated more than 2,660 trademarks for applications filed with the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property.
How long does a trademark translation take?
You receive the certified translation and all your application information within 30 minutes of confirming your order with us, during our working hours.
What are the steps?
Two: send us your mark’s image on WhatsApp, then receive the certified translation and all your application information within 30 minutes of confirming the order.
What do you need from me?
Your trademark image, and a short note about your business or products so we can choose the right class. We never need access to your SAIP account.
In what format do I receive the file?
You receive the certified translation as a PDF ready to upload on SAIP’s website, your mark’s image in the required size, and all the information written out to paste as it is.
My logo image is not in the required size. Will you fix it?
Yes. We adjust your mark’s image to SAIP’s rules: PNG or JPG, between 300 and 1200 pixels, square or rectangular, under 5 MB. We only adjust the size; we never change your design.
How do I use the file on SAIP's website?
We send you a video that walks you through filing on SAIP’s website, and every item in the file follows the order of the application fields, so you copy each one into its place.
What information does SAIP's trademark application ask for?
The Arabic and Latin names of the mark, the mark description, its type, its image in the required size, a certified translation if it contains non-Arabic text, and the class. All of these are checked at the formal examination, and we prepare all of them for you.
How is a trademark description written correctly?
A plain description of what is in the image, in Arabic letters and numbers only: the shapes, the colours and the background colour, and how each Latin text is pronounced, with no symbols or brackets and no explanation of what the colours mean. We write the full description for you.
What are the mark types?
Word: text only, in a plain font. Figurative: shapes and drawings without letters. Word and figurative: text and shapes together, or text in a distinctive font. We determine your mark’s type and write it for you.
What is a trademark class?
Marks are classified by the goods or services they are used for, under the international Nice Classification of 45 classes. You choose the class when you file, and your mark is protected within it.
Will you help me choose the class?
Yes. Tell us what you do, and we give you the right class number as part of the service.
What happens if I choose the wrong class?
SAIP never allows the class to be changed after the application is filed. A wrong class can mean your mark does not protect your real business, so you need a new application with new fees.
Can I register my mark in more than one class?
Yes, but each class needs a separate application with its own SAIP fees.
Can I use the same translation if I register my mark in another class?
Yes. Your mark’s certified translation works for its applications in other classes, as long as the mark itself has not changed.
What is the AI study?
A study of your mark that flags the most common reasons for rejection before you file, such as similarity to registered marks or grounds the law does not allow. It helps you avoid a final rejection before you pay the non-refundable SAR 1,000 filing fee.
How do I use the AI study?
We send you a link and a one-time code. You enter your mark’s details and get the result.
Does the AI study guarantee my mark will be accepted?
No. The AI study is a helping tool for an initial study; it does not guarantee acceptance or rejection, and it is not legal advice. The final decision is SAIP’s. The study helps you spot risks early so you can adjust your mark before filing. If you want a study by a specialist with our study guarantee, that is part of the trademark registration service.
Do I lose the SAIP fees if my mark is rejected?
Yes. If the application is rejected at the substantive examination, SAIP does not refund the filing fee (SAR 1,000). That is why you get the AI study before you file.
What are the SAIP guides you provide?
Three official SAIP guides with valuable information on how to file a trademark and all the reasons that could get it rejected: the Trademark Guidelines, with the 16 grounds for rejection as SAIP explains them; the most frequently asked questions on trademarks, up to the certificate and renewal; and an introductory guide to the steps of the registration service.
What is your translation guarantee?
If SAIP returns your application because of any mistake in our file, in the translation or the information, we correct it for free. If it cannot be corrected, we refund the fees you paid us in full.
What is the difference between the formal and the substantive examination?
The formal examination checks the application data, such as the Arabic and Latin names, the description, the mark type and the translation; if there is a mistake, the application is returned for correction without being lost. The substantive examination studies the mark’s similarity to registered marks and its compliance with the law, and a rejection there means losing the filing fee.
Does the translation guarantee cover a rejection for similarity?
No. The translation guarantee covers mistakes in our file at the formal examination. A rejection for similarity or lack of distinctiveness concerns the mark itself, which is why we give you the AI study before filing.
What if I find the same service for less?
If you find a provider licensed by SAIP offering the same service with the same features or better for less, we provide the service for free.
Which marks are hard to register?
Marks that are not distinctive, such as a product name (grills), a phrase that describes the product (the tastiest ice cream) or a generic word (restaurant, cafe), and sometimes names of places and regions. A mark similar to a registered mark for similar goods or services is also rejected.
Should I file myself or leave the registration to you?
If you are comfortable using SAIP’s website and following up on your application, the translation file is enough. If this is your first trademark, or you want a specialist study with a guarantee and follow-up until the certificate, the registration service suits you better.
Is the translation included in the trademark registration service?
Yes. The trademark registration service includes the certified translation and all the application information at no extra fee.
I translated my mark with you, then decided you should register it. Do I pay twice?
No. If you order the registration service within 30 days of receiving the translation, we deduct SAR 400 from the first registration payment.
How long does trademark registration take?
Usually 3 to 5 months. SAIP responds to the application within 7 to 90 days (14 days on average), the mark is then published for 60 days, and the certificate is issued after the final fee is paid.
How much are SAIP's trademark registration fees?
They are paid to SAIP directly in three stages: SAR 1,000 at filing, SAR 500 for publication after initial acceptance, and SAR 5,000 for final registration. They are separate from the translation price.
Can I register a trademark without a commercial registration?
Yes. A trademark can be registered in an individual’s name; a commercial registration is not required.
