Welcome to Alama (alama-sa.com), a service of Qiyad Intellectual Property Office, licensed by the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) under number ALN202501185, registered under unified national number 7041450235, and based in Al-Jazeera District, Riyadh. By using our website or requesting any of our services, you agree to these terms.

1. Services

We register trademarks with the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property. The service covers studying the mark before filing, choosing the right class, a certified translation where needed, preparing and filing the application, and following it up until the registration certificate is issued. We also offer certified trademark translation with all the application information; the scope and price of each service are shown on its page.

2. Prices and payment

  • The trademark registration fee is paid in two parts: SAR 1,400 after the application is officially filed with SAIP, and SAR 1,400 when the registration certificate is issued. We ask for no payment before filing.
  • SAIP fees are government fees, separate from our fee and paid directly to SAIP in stages (SAR 1,000 at filing, SAR 500 for publication and SAR 5,000 for final registration). They are subject to any change SAIP makes.
  • Payment is by bank transfer, or online by credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through a licensed payment gateway. We do not keep your card details; the payment gateway processes them directly.
  • Prices are in Saudi riyals, and we send you an invoice for each payment.
  • The trademark translation service costs SAR 400, paid in full before the translation starts.

3. Your obligations

  • Provide accurate and complete information and documents, and confirm that you have the right to the mark you ask us to register and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights.
  • Reply to our questions and pay SAIP invoices on time. Late payment of the publication or final registration invoice may lead SAIP to cancel the application, and we are not responsible for the consequences.
  • Once registered, use the mark exactly as registered, in line with SAIP rules.

4. SAIP’s decision and timelines

Accepting or rejecting a mark is solely SAIP’s decision, and no one can guarantee it. What we commit to is a careful study of your mark and telling you about the risks before filing. The timelines on our website (usually 3 to 5 months) are estimates that depend on SAIP’s procedures.

The translation file is delivered within 30 minutes of order confirmation during working hours; this is an estimate.

5. Study guarantee

If your mark is rejected for a reason we did not tell you about in the study, you can choose a refund of our fee and the filing fee (SAR 1,000), or have us file a new application or an appeal and pay the SAIP fee (SAR 1,000) for you. Each order also includes, at no extra fee, one new application, one appeal and one reply to an opposition. Details are in our refund and cancellation policy.

For the trademark translation service (correct-file guarantee): if SAIP returns your application because of an error in the translation or information we prepared, we correct it free of charge, and if it cannot be corrected, we refund the translation fee in full.

6. Best-price guarantee

If you find a licensed provider offering the same service with the same features and guarantees for less, we will provide the service free of charge, once we have verified the offer.

7. Limitation of liability

We are not liable for SAIP decisions or third-party oppositions, for any damage resulting from inaccurate information you provide, or for SAIP fees not paid on time. In all cases our liability is limited to the fee you paid us for the service concerned.

The AI study included with the translation service is a tool for an initial check; it does not guarantee that a mark will be accepted or rejected and is not legal advice.

8. Website content

All website content, including text, designs and logos, belongs to Alama and may not be copied or used without written permission.

9. Communication

We contact you on the WhatsApp number and email address you gave us, and messages sent there count as valid notice.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the courts of Riyadh have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time and show the date at the top of this page. Updated terms apply to new requests from the date they are published.
